That’s one of Buncit’s favorite quote related to coffee. Maybe it’s not something you believe in, but coffee is always the key. Having a bad day at school or work? Or feeling un-motivated and stuck? Go somewhere nice, order your favorite cup of coffee, breath deep, and start enjoying your coffee. Maybe your problem won’t go instantly, but at least you are feeling better, right?

So today, Buncit has something to inform you! There is one more coffee shop in town! Say hello to Kopi Kalyan!

After the successful opening of its first outlet in Cikajang, South Jakarta, Kopi Kalyan is now available at Foresta Business Loft 2, BSD CITY! It’s indeed a gem in the middle of the busy city and a perfect short escape.

When you walk inside, you will find a very spacious space surrounded by white brick and glass walls. It’s just so simple yet pretty and attractive. If you are wondering, is there an outdoor sitting? Yes there is! Also with a huge umbrella to cover you up from the sun.

There is a plenty chairs to sit on inside. In the corner, in the middle, or beside the glass walls. Buncit’s recommendation is of course to sit beside the glass walls. First, you can have a great view of outside while you enjoying your coffee. Second, it’s a perfect spot to take pictures. Come on, it’s natural light. Who doesn’t love it?

And now it’s time for the coffee itself. Buncit ordered a glass of piccolo. They put the glass on a wood container along with a slice of pandan chiffon cake. Although the piccolo is mixed with milk, the coffee aroma still on top. From the first sip, you can feel the foam sticking in your lip. It’s not too acidic. Buncit loves it! And the cake? It’s moist and yummy! Buncit also tried their red velvet cookie. It’s a soft cookie with cheese in the middle.

To sum it up, the atmosphere here in Kopi Kalyan is very cozy and suitable to spend your lovely evening. Maybe to enjoy your time before dinner? Finishing the book you haven’t read yet? Working on something? Whatever you do, Kopi Kalyan is here to accompany you. And don’t forget, Kopi Kalyan will provide you a good taste of coffee too!

First tip! If you are the first timer, be aware with the location ya! Lokasinya sendiri memang tidak terlalu tampak nih, Port Five Six berada di atas Soto Pak Sadi. Masuk ke Port Five Six juga bukan lewat dari Soto Pak Sadi, tetapi lewat pintu samping berwarna cokelat.

Second tip! Take a lot of photos! Kenapa? Soalnya desain tempatnya simple but very cool! Anak muda banget deh! Warna ruangan dominan warna abu-abu dengan sentuhan warna hitam dan cokelat. Kalau kata Buncit sih ini a perfect breakfast karena ngenyangin perut! Disajikan di dalam mangkok yang ukurannya cukup besar, Acai Bowlnya dilengkapi dengan topping pisang, stroberi, dan granola. Granolanya garing, manis, dan tidak terlalu lengket. Thumbs up!

Salted Egg Yolk Chicken with Rice (Rp53.000)

Yang satu ini juga wajib Bunciters pesan, apalagi kamu suka banget sama telur asin. Nasi panas yang disajikan lengkap dengan fried chicken fillet yang dipotong dadu-dadu yang dicampur dengan saus telur asin. Ayamnya garing dan gurih, saus telur asinnya juga terasa. A perfect combination! Ada telur mata sapi setengah matang juga loh!

Aglio Olio Pasta with Pork Belly (Rp80.000)

Pasta lovers, you gotta try this! Pasta spaghetti dengan olive oil dan bumbu ala Port Five Six yang asin, gurih, dan sedikit pedas ini wajib Bunciters coba. Porsinya pas untuk satu orang. Kamu bisa memilih topping pork belly atau smoked beef. Kalau yang ini versi pork belly! Guess what? Pork bellynya garing dan juicy. Dagingnya juga empuk. Suka!
